What we’ve learned!

• At birth, we all need to be protected, nurtured, loved unconditionally and to feel we belong. These needs are the same as we grow older.
• Obstacles are not insurmountable. It just takes the proper resources, confidence and fortitude to overcome them.
• No one succeeds on their own. At some point, everyone needs someone to encourage them and to lend a helping hand.
• Like our foremothers and forefathers, we have the ability to address the trials of life.
• Meaningful involvement in both civic and social activities are the best ways to combat isolation and loneliness.
• Life is short, so have an open mind and a teachable spirit.
